It's a Wrap!

written by GreggPollack on September 23rd, 2007 @ 11:09 PM

There were 170 people who wrote their names down on the signup sheet, but I’m sure there were a few more that didn’t put their names down.

Here are a few people who deserve a big thanks!

Larry Diehl for helping me organize the whole thing.

Mike Blake for taking care of the PA system, and helping with the band.

Mike G. and Kat for doing a great job running the back room and transporting the extra chairs.

Tyler Hunt for helping me organize the main room.

Jason Seifer for creating the name badges and helping with the front door.

Tim Rosenblatt for organizing the Second Harvest food drive.

Tim Welch for bringing the second screen and projector.

Dan Kinchen for supplying the writeboards.

Jason Hawkins for taking video.

Thomas Meeks for setting up the parking signs and bringing his monitor to do the Flickr feed.

Raphael, Ralph, Kevin Murphy, Joshua Hoskins, and anyone else who helped us with odds and ends.

All our generous sponsors, we could not have done it without you!

Also thanks to all the presenters and to all you guys who came out for the event. If you’d like to give some feedback on how we can make the event better, I’d love to hear from you. Please leave your comments here, or email them to the mailing list.

It was a great event, well done, thanks.

It was awesome! I only wish I could have stayed later, I can only imagine it got better as the night went on. The only thing you guys could do to improve is get a bigger venue but that's not a bad thing at all! Congratulations on a great event!

I've run a few events myself so I can say as an educated observer that this event was *very* well organized and well run. You guys did a great job! Looking forward to many more!

All of SOLMI had a great time. Everybody I talked to seemed very impressed with the event itself, but perhaps even more so with the community supporting it. Really great stuff.

wtf?! I don't get credit for the awesome amazing spectacular name tags?!
  • Eric Marden on 25 Sep 17:41

I agree. I had a great time, but some great people, and learned some new things. The name tags were awesome. The presentations were better than I expected, and the event went pretty smoothly. I'd only like to see two improvements: Need better sound/mics. And a way to mix a mic with stereo output from the laptops so you can do video with sound. But that's only because I saw it try to happen. :) Can't wait until the next one...

Great job everyone! I had a quick question -- I grabbed the wrong size shirt. Anyone know if there were any extra women's size small?
